"Drive for show, putt for dough" 2016-08-10 14:39:22
Subtitle:Our PGA Professional David Carroll speaks about the importance of your putter
Golf professionals around the world sit in amazement when they are met with amateurs who choose to purchase a new driver after dropping the majority of their shots in previous rounds by 3-putting.
As the saying goes: "Drive for show and putt for dough," so we believe in Seapoint that you should seek professional advice on the type of putter you are using. Our PGA Professional David Carroll advises NOT to buy a putter because it looks nice or because Henrik Stenson used it to hole that 20 footer on the 18th at Royal Troon to win The Open! A putter needs to have the appropriate face, weight, shaft and be the correct length to suit you and your putting stroke. David would like to encourage anyone interested in buying a new putter to try out some of the selection available in our Pro-Shop on the practice putting green to see if they work for you. Himself and Assistant Pro David Winters will be on hand to give you any advice if needed!
The Pro Shop has a wide range of putters on display and are offering a great deal on the latest range from the top manufacturers. So call in and David and David will be delighted to advise on the best putter for you.
